University Elections 2025
In addition to the Student Council, students of the Faculty of Biology are running for other committees of the TU Dresden. Here, you will find profiles of the candidates for the Faculty Council, the School Committee of the School of Science, the Student Council and the Senate.

HOW DO I VOTE?
This year you can once again vote at the polling station.
Date: December 9 – December 11, 2025
Time: Tue., 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Wed., 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Thu., 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Location: BIO/E31
VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE
This year, you are able to vote for the Faculty Council, the School Committee of the School of Science, the Senate and the Extended Senate through an online voting process for the first time ever. If you would like to vote online, you must submit a request in advance. The application form for online voting is available HERE and the application deadline for online voting is December 2, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. You can then use the same link to vote starting from December 9, 2025 12 a.m. until December 11, 2025 11:59 p.m. Postal voting is not possible anymore for these Committees.
For the vote for student representatives in the Student Council, online voting is not possible. Instead, you can apply for a postal vote until November 19, 2025. The application form is available HERE. The election envelopes must be submitted to the election officer by Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 4 p.m. at the latest. You can send them to the following address: Studierendenrat TU Dresden, Mommsenstraße 5, 01069 Dresden.
Of course, you can always just vote at the polling station in person (see times and place above).
WHO CAN I VOTE FOR?
- Student representatives in the Faculty Council and the School Committee of the School of Science
- Student representatives in the Senate and the Extended Senate
- Student representatives of your Student Council

HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER OF THE STUDENT COUNCIL?
- Fill out and send in the election proposal: From now until November 18, 2025, 3 p.m. you can candidate for the Student Council. All you have to do is fill out the appropriate form: HERE. Afterwards, you have to submit this election proposal to the election officer. Please send it to the following address: Studierendenrat der TU Dresden, Wahlausschuss, Helmholtzstr. 10, 01069 Dresden.
- Waiting: The approved election proposals will be announced shortly.
- Wait a little longer: The StuRa will announce the results of the election in mid-December. Then you will find out if you actually got a seat in the Student Council. By the way, we have 25 vacant seats in each legislative period.
Of course, you can also participate in the Student Council without being elected. You can also take on tasks and help out as a so-called associate member. If you just want to have a look around, you are welcome to come to one of our meetings, which take place every Monday evening, 6:30 p.m in room BIO/E33. We look forward to seeing you!
HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER OF OTHER UNIVERSITY COMMITTEES?
- Fill out and send in the election proposal: Again, you only have to fill out the appropriate form: HERE. The election proposals must be submitted to the election officer (c/o Election Office, Günther-Landgraf-Bau, Mommsenstr. 13 or, in case of electronic ID, by e-mail wahlbuero@tu-dresden.de) by November 7, 2025, 4 p.m.
- Wait: The results will be announced together with the Student Council election results in mid-December.
