Who? We are Turf Coach, a Berlin-based international start-up focused on sports technology.
Together with Fraunhofer IWS in Dresden and Prof. Dr. Bernd Leinauer from Wageningen University,
we are offering you a unique opportunity to perform your research with us in the form of a thesis or
an R&D project.
What? In partnership with Fraunhofer IWS, we want to test new hardware and software solutions to
preemptively detect a variety of stress factors in turf grass. The project will last potentially for 6 to 12
months involving laboratory work at Fraunhofer IWS, where you will have to treat certain turf grass
patches and gather measurements with different sensors. Subsequently, you will be supported in the
data processing and have further time to prepare the final analysis of the results. Throughout your
research, you will be guided and supported by our head of machine learning as well as our head of
research and development. External supervision will be provided by Dr. Bernd Leinauer.
